Marshfield Airport gets $1.6 million grant

The Marshfield Airport just received a $1.6 million grant to prepare it for the runway lengthening project. This money will go towards tree and brush clearing, and for creating new habitats for endangered species, in order to mitigate the impact of the project. Fuller story here.

Results of MA Airport Economic Impact Report: $11.9 Billion & 124,000 Jobs

Governor Pattick was in New Bedford at Bridgewater State’s Training Facility there to announce the results of a statewide economic impact report. The result? Marshfield Approves Article 12 Airport Improvements at Special Town Meeting

Thanks to more than 2/3 support at the October 24, 2011 meeting, Article 12 was approved by the Town of Marshfield in support of the Marshfield Airport safety improvements and Bass Creek dredging.
